Soraya Alfonsín Romero

Health psychologist specialized in neuropsychological evaluation and intervention in adults and the elderly. She is currently developing her doctoral thesis project "Evaluation and effect of neuropsychological intervention in adults and the elderly: longitudinal study" within the medicine program of the Complutense University of Madrid, in the line of Public Health and Medical Humanities. Regarding her research experience, she has participated in several projects at the Complutense University of Madrid "Cognitive and neurophysiological characteristics of people at high risk for the development of dementia: a multidimensional approach" and "Study of the anatomo-functional connectome of relatives of patients with Alzheimer's: a proposal for early cognitive and lifestyle intervention (CONNECT-AD) ”, the latter being developed at present. In the applied field, she works as a neuropsychologist in charge of the Cognitive Evaluation and Stimulation Unit of a private hospital. Her main interests are the study of the various types of cognitive impairment and dementias in older adults, as well as the benefits of early cognitive stimulation and neuropsychological rehabilitation.
